Potato wholesale

History
On the 1^st of August 2012 Léon Kranenburg took over the potato wholesale Fa. H.J. v.d. Berg & Zn. This company was founded in 1933 by the Van den Berg brothers and was located in Hoofddorp. After purchasing the company from Van den Berg, Léon Kranenburg took over a lot of knowledge, expertise and  experience. Henk van den Berg is still active as sales manager.

General
Potato wholesale Kranenburg is specialised in processing potatoes for consumption. We purchase, sort, weigh, pack, sell and transport potatoes.

Our current production capacity amounts to 3.000 ton per month. All activities are entirely carried out by ourselves. We buy several potato types in different sizes and measurements, which are then processed and delivered.

Deliveries mostly take place through export, and extend to for example: Russia, Romania, Poland, Hungary, the Dutch Antilles and the Caribbean. Our company is located on the highways A4 and A44 (near junction Burgerveen) and is 10 minutes away from Schiphol international airport. We now have our own weigh bridge (built in 2012).

Direct buying from reliable growers allows us to deliver any potato variety at an excellent rate. Processing takes place within our company, based in Nieuw-Vennep, where we have state of the art equipment such as conveyor belts and a pallet machine.

Transport is also done using our own materials. We have 2 DAF trucks and 7 trailers. Potato wholesale Kranenburg is also certified by hygiene code HACCP met GMP, given to us by NAO (the Dutch potato Organisation).
